In addition, it is Best Practice to also access and understand your organisations specific procedures for storing and handling Dangerous Goods. This can be covered in more detail with on-site training.

At the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Apply the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Regulations correctly
- Identify your responsibilities with regards to the transport of Dangerous Goods.
- Be aware of the nine hazard classes of Dangerous Goods.
- Apply the List of Dangerous Goods.
- Apply correct segregation of loaded Dangerous Goods sea freight.
- Properly mark and label Dangerous Goods.
- Complete the required documentation.
- Follow the general emergency procedures when a damaged/leaking package is discovered.
- Report incidents/accidents/occurrences and mis-declarations of Dangerous Goods.
